Update 0.8.5
Hello everyone!
In addition to the regular improvements and fixes of each new update, this one comes with A LOT of improvements specifically tailored to take advantage of the Quest 2 extra processing power and memory. I added a new selector in the Settings Menu > Graphics that allows you to select the Quest 2 preset which automatically activates all the improvements.
If you have a Quest 2 make sure you activate this setting!
QUEST 2 IMPROVEMENTS
* All weapons now have real-time reflections. Metals look much more natural than before.
* Blood decals now have reflections and normal maps giving a more realistic look.
* Blood death particles now have normal maps.
* Enemy bodies now have normal maps, roughness and metallic textures. This is especially noticeable with the blood on the body that now is much more realistic.
* All arenas now have ambient occlusion and metallic reflections baked in.
* Fixed UI textures looking "burned" on the Quest2
* Increased default resolution to 100% and reduced FFR to Normal.
* Added predefined graphics settings for Quest1 and Quest2. You can select them in the graphics options.
* Added a headset selector in the initial menu (the first one after the activation).

IMPROVEMENTS
* New: The pole in the endless arena is now climbable.
* New: Wood pillars and arches in the bridge are now climbable.
* New: You now can walk and run twice as fast.
* New: The crowd will get less bored over time. This makes it easier to promote and get presents from them.(From -1 points to -0.7 per second when nothing happens)
* New: To compensate for the previous change they will only throw one cabbage if you get food from them.
* New: Asymmetrical fame levels. It's now easier to promote in the lower ranks but harder in the upper ranks.
* New: Small adjustments to the intro scene to remove areas where everything is pitch black giving the impression that the game didn't start.
* New: Sky configurations for the endless arena. Unlocked after rank Dagger. You can choose from Clear, Cloudy, Epic and Random.
* New: Additional 11 item slots to the cell and the gates (+1).
* New: Distance grab now only works on items that are within 90 degrees of where you are looking at.
* New: Added a new setting to disable distance grab (it's on by default)
UI IMPROVEMENTS
* Added buttons to sliders to make it easier to change the settings.
* Made checkboxes bigger and more visible.
* Restored Standoff Distance in the options menu. Was temporarily removed in the previous version.
FIXES
* Fix: Added kill volumes to the stands. This prevents gladiators and tigers getting stuck there.
* Fix: The arena would spawn an additional enemy if you killed a gladiator while grabbing another one, counting the grabbed one as dead.
* Fix: Sword masters and legionaries would grow hair sometimes after removing the helmet and decapitating them.
* Fix: If you stab an enemy, release the weapon, and then grab it again the weapon would automatically detach from the body.
* Fix: Visual artifacts on the gates in the endless arena.
* Fix: Removed unlocked endless arena message on the training mode after reaching 1500 gold
* Fix: Slot items at the gates would face the wall instead of the player.
PERFORMANCE
* Activated despawn timers on all weapons except the initial loadout, those always stay in the arena. This avoids the situation where there's a lot of weapons on the floor in the upper rounds significantly impacting the performance of the game.
* Fixed despawn timer not activating on weapons that were previously used to stab.
* Helmets and food will always stay in the arena. They don't have a despawn timer.
BALANCE
* Scythe now deals: 30 damage vs 45 before.
* Minotaur damage increased to 45 vs 25 before.
* Increased the number of enemies per round in the weapon challenge.
